SEND code of practice: 0 to 25 years – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Every local authority in England is legally required to provide a SENDIASS (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Information, Advice and Support Service). This is an impartial, confidential service for parents, carers, and young people (up to 25 years old) with SEND.

It helps families understand their child’s rights, navigate EHCPs, access support, and appeal decisions if needed. This is free to access, and can be found via your Local Authority website.

Support for Education is available

E-learning on SEND Law is available via the IPSEA website
